Reader Interview / Delphine Gauthier-Georgakopoulos

Delphine Gauthier-Georgakopoulos

What would you love to see in the submissions?

An authentic voice that both surprises and touches me, and a writer unafraid to play with form.

What is your superpower?

Stubbornness. I’m Breton and a woman. I don’t give up and will work harder when told I can’t do something. I will make it happen. Just to make a point.

What is your writing process?

As an overthinker, creating stories comes naturally. I usually write once the idea is clear-ish in my head – at home in front of the computer or wherever, scribbling in a notebook. Some pieces come out fast and more or less ready, but others take weeks/months (and lots of beta reading) before I can properly translate what’s in my head to paper. I wouldn’t call it a process; it’s more of an urge.
